The enhanced designs of Guardian generators result in some of the quietest operating units on the market today,
and all units are emission-certified for air quality management for
all kW levels.
Guardian home standby generators have been manufactured
for over 40 years by Generac Power Systems, Inc., headquartered in Whitewater,
Wisconsin. These units and accessory products are designed to provide
emergency automatic home standby generation of power that can be installed
during new construction or retrofitted into existing residences and
light industrial businesses. The residential emergency home standby
generator is permanently installed outside (similar to an air-conditioning
unit), to supply electrical power to all pre-selected lights, appliances,
sump pumps and water pumps, and are powered by either natural gas or
LPG. Models range from 3,400 to 40,000 watts. They work with a matched
automatic transfer switch that responds within seconds when utility
power shuts down, even when no one is at home.
Guardian generators are manufactured at three separate production facilities.
One produces the air-cooled and portable units, another the liquid-cooled
units, and a special fabrication facility makes all the generator enclosures.
By utilizing a business strategy of vertical integration, Guardian designs
and manufacturers the majority of their own engines (OHVI®), generator
heads, transfer switches and weather protective enclosures. They design,
engineer, 100% test and manufacture every system they sell... and that
is unique to Guardian. For that, and a wide number of other reasons,
Guardian has earned the position of being the #1 Selling
Home Standby Generator in America.
